The Danish Meat Research Institute, which is owned by DS, plays a vital role in the creation of the knowledge and technology that has allowed the Danish slaughterhouses and meat processing plants to maintain rigorous standards. Its research covers almost every area of pig production from pig transport and slaughtering technology, to processing and refrigeration methods, quality management and environmental protection.
